Why MOQ questions go wrong
Buyers ask "what is your MOQ" and suppliers answer with a single number. The problem is that MOQ is not one number. The quantity needed to place a standard order is not the same as the quantity needed to justify a custom logo, a custom colour or a custom box, and none of them is the quantity needed for a sample.
When these get collapsed into one figure, two things go wrong: a buyer assumes a customisation quantity that the factory has not agreed to, or a buyer assumes a standard quantity that is higher than the factory actually needs for a stock-specification order.
The three quantities that are actually different

If a supplier gives you a customisation quantity without asking what the customisation is, treat the figure as provisional.
What determines whether a customisation quantity applies
- Logo method. Pad printing, laser engraving, silk printing and moulded logos have different setup requirements.
- Colour. A standard colour from the existing range behaves differently from a matched custom colour.
- Packaging. Printed boxes and manuals carry their own minimum print run, which is frequently the binding constraint.
- Battery and electronics. Where a battery or PCB is involved, component purchasing and documentation can affect the viable minimum.
Battery architecture and compliance
Electric mini pumps contain a lithium cell, which changes the project in two ways. First, battery architecture matters: a removable pack supports servicing and gives European programmes more flexibility around evolving battery requirements, while a built-in pack usually allows a slimmer body. Second, shipment and market documentation matter: battery transport documentation and destination-market requirements should be confirmed for the specific model before you commit.

A short confirmation checklist
- Confirm the standard order MOQ for the exact model, not for the category.
- Confirm separately whether logo, colour, manual and packaging each carry their own quantity.
- Confirm whether the battery is removable or built in.
- Confirm which documents exist for the model and which have to be prepared.
- Confirm the sample route before the volume order is placed.
